    President & Chief Executive Officer

    David has 40+ years of industry experience focused on conventional and resource plays in Western Canada.  He was the President, CEO and founder of Black Swan Energy. Prior to Black Swan, he was with Talisman Energy where he managed multi-disciplinary teams in the WCSB, with production of 100,000 boe/d and annual capital budgets of ​$1 billion.

    Chief Operating Officer

    Bryan has 30+ years of industry experience focused on WCSB operations. He was a co-founder and Vice President of Operations at Black Swan Energy. He started his career at Chevron Canada and at growth oriented operators Northrock Resources and Peyto Exploration. He has played a lead role in the development of horizontal multistage wells and processing infrastructure, highlighted by efficient execution of safe, low cost and low emissions operations.

    Vice President Finance & Chief Financial Officer

    Mike has 30+ years experience in the oil and gas industry, with an extensive background in both private equity and public start-ups in the Canadian and U.S. markets. He was Vice President, Finance and CFO and a co-founder of Black Swan Energy. Mike was also involved as a founder and in the ongoing funding of Equatorial Energy, Peloton Exploration and Espoir Exploration.

    Senior Vice President Corporate Development & Corporate Secretary

    Leanne has 25 years experience negotiating and executing strategic corporate M&A, exploration, joint venture and commercial agreements within Western Canada. She was Vice President, Land, Corporate Secretary and a co-founder of Black Swan Energy.  She has previously held positions at Redcliffe Exploration, Talisman Energy and Northrock Resources.

    Francois Legault

    Vice President Geosciences

    Francois has 25+ years of industry experience, focused on the delineation and development of both conventional and resources plays in WCSB. He was a co-founder and COO of Modern Resources Inc., a private-equity backed junior Oil & Gas company with a Deep-Basin focus. Prior to Modern, Francois held various senior technical and leadership roles at E&Ps that include Vermillion Energy Inc. and Talisman Energy Inc.

    Matthew Bloom

    Vice President Operations

    Matt is a senior operations and engineering leader with over 15 years of industry experience across Western Canada and US unconventional basins. He led the planning and execution of exploration and high growth development projects at Nexen Energy and CNOOC International with a focus on subsurface operations. Matt has a strong foundation in field operations and has managed annual capital programs in excess of $300 million with industry leading performance in cost reduction and safety.

    Vice President Development Engineering

    Serafina has 12+ years of industry experience within the WCSB, with experience in facilities, production, and operations engineering roles. She has worked as Development Engineer in the Deep Basin, and most recently held a senior role developing Montney assets in Gold Creek. Prior to joining the Cygnet Energy team, Sera has held technical positions at Angle Energy, Bellatrix Exploration and Spartan Delta Corp.
